Yeah it varies. All 3 of mine so far were like "you come in NAO" so gonna be busy going into OCI. Also ding at Jenner. Dings starting to pile up now Getting more afraid of getting grade drop/not-EE/CS/ChemE-major pwned by the day.erico wrote:depends on the firm - i've got one in 4 wks.Anonymous User wrote:One firm wants to CB in 4 weeks. I got a question guys: Do you think its a good idea to go back to engineering and then continue law school when markets up if I dont get a summer gig by december? I already have a nice job lined up. (a really nice one)

CR. Too bad there are probably 10 total people getting all of those CBs... And between every firm in the city they'll still have to pare out 3 of them to fit the number they plan to hire.Anonymous User wrote:Ding as well. Fuck these Chicago firms are hard as fuck to get.

well, i eventually do wanna do patent law, but if i dont have a summer job...well, then i am in trouble with loans etc...
i go to a T20 school.
The engineering job pays early 70s in a really cheap (but fun) city; lots to do... and a very famous city as well

Anyone know what Kirkland Chicago's callback to offer rate is for IP historically?

You have the gig lined up? I'd consider it, but I think you won't be able to go into law for a very long time. I'd ask career services for their take on this.Anonymous User wrote:well, i eventually do wanna do patent law, but if i dont have a summer job...well, then i am in trouble with loans etc...

what if i were to tell you I have awesome tech credentials. Think multiple engineering degrees in different fields(EE being one of them ...)

In 2006, at CLS, KE NYC - IP bidding option had 8 people accept callbacks, 5 got offers.Anonymous User wrote:Ditto for NY. No one will know though.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone know what Kirkland Chicago's callback to offer rate is for IP historically?

Re: Loyola PLIP thread for 2011
Found out recently that I was picked for an OCI interview (not randomly assigned) by a patent firm that I interviewed with in Chicago. Later got an E-mail that they do not plan to interview me further. Cancel OCI interview?

Lulz. Appreciate the info brother but between 2006 and "CLS" I think that knocks my chances down to around 0. Oh well gonna enjoy that reception anywayDesert Fox wrote:In 2006, at CLS, KE NYC - IP bidding option had 8 people accept callbacks, 5 got offers.Anonymous User wrote:Ditto for NY. Re: Loyola PLIP thread for 2011
There is no reason to think that CLS has anything to do it with it. They gave you the CB already. And while the ratio could have changed ITE, it also might not have. At least in Chicago they are hiring almost a normal sized class against.Anonymous User wrote:Lulz. Yeah Ny will be near normal as well I think, was much much bigger this summer than last. I'm here to say that I not only outkicked my coverage, my coverage never arrived at the stadium. They're waiting on the Jersey Turnpike in bumper to bumper. I'm glad the interviewer liked me cause he was a great guy, but... y'know. I'm feeling like The Naked Man in that one How I Met Your Mother episode. Little bit of charm is all I've got, at least relatively speaking.

Re: Loyola PLIP thread for 2011
I'm a little unsettled by the fact that so far it's the only callback I have in chicago, and I had 10 interviews there. On one hand it's amazing to have a shot at my dream firm, on the other, if I miss, I've got no net.Anonymous User wrote:Yeah Ny will be near normal as well I think, was much much bigger this summer than last. Re: Loyola PLIP thread for 2011
I'm in the same boat, but no Chicago callbacks... No city pref though. Do have one more in Ny but they barely take any summers so that's cold comfort. 2/18 so far with 3 confirmed dings and at least 4 more that are pretty much guaranteed out, and that's before I even get to the pwning by Chicago boutiques and interviews that didn't go great. Go biggest or go home I guess. Best of luck man.Anonymous User wrote:I'm a little unsettled by the fact that so far it's the only callback I have in chicago, and I had 10 interviews there.
