Question for all you PLIPers:

What if you've been unable to attend PLIP throughout your law school career (let's just say that you've been going to law school part-time while serving in the military, which has prevented you from doing a summer internships as well), and the first time you've been available is AFTER you graduate law school. You've passed the patent bar, but have no experience in a firm.

1. Do they do offers for associate positions?
2. Do they even let graduates do PLIP?
3. Would it be worth it?

Thanks, all.

I had a CB with a firm some time ago and received an email recently saying that "you are still under consideration" and we haven't yet made a decision. What does an email like this really mean in the big scheme of things?

Also, should I respond to this email? I don't have any urgent deadlines coming up.

Thank you in advance.

My understanding is that PLIP is not open to graduates at all.

I'd recommend (being in a similar situation) just mass mailing firms. Hasn't been the worst way of looking a job for me.

Although harness dickey did not interview at PLIP this year, I am guessing some of the people in this thread interviewed with them. Has anyone received an offer?

They weren't at WashU's OCI either - if they interviewed people, I'd guess that they were people who applied directly. Seems more likely to me that they either took any previous 1L SAs they might have had or nobody at all.
