Interesting cross-section of schools, with some of the usual suspects well represented.

Thanks.

This is interesting, definitely a few surprises.

If any other 2Ls can provide a similar breakdown of their SA class and the Vault range, I'll aggregate it and put together something similar to the 2006 law school addict rankings: http://lawfirmaddict.blogspot.com/2006/ ... ement.html

I'm going to venture a guess (based on my knowledge of where certain GULCers ended up and the size of this class) that this is Paul Weiss.

That's quite a large SA class. Is that nationwide or for a particular office?

Why try to out a person who is giving out useful information? Just take the info and leave it alone.

Michigan seems pretty normal with numbers that are along with Virginia and Penn.

Berkeley is surprising.

OP, Thank you for this useful post!

Seriously? This is clearly not DPW. Northwestern is sending 4-5 to DPW and they are not listed above. Based on where I know people are going and the fact that no Northwestern student is listed above, this would either have to be Paul Weiss or Gibson Dunn (but is GDC really taking a class of 105 this year)? Also, NU students have been generally advised to use the school email address in all correspondences with firms (as such, I would doubt that 4-5 students could be among the 15 unknowns).

I also don't see UT listed above and I have a couple of friends from UT going to GDC in Dallas. As such, my money is entirely on Paul Weiss. So am I right?

First, why is this anonymous. Second, Michigan and Boalt have larger class sizes and tend to place more folks into public interest. You really have to consider the raw numbers as opposed to the percentages. By comparison, Chicago and NU have smaller to average class sizes and people tend to self select towards big law (hence, a much larger % placement into big law).

Based on the number of UVA students represented, this has to be either Latham or Gibson (firmwide). Probably Gibson.

I go to UVA and there are only ~5 people at most at each of the other V15.

W/ the LA representation (Loyola, USC, Pepperdine, etc.) it's very clearly one particular firm.

For such a smart little cookie, you really don't understand anonymous functions, do you? Nothing's "kinda clear."
