Early Jan. It was my last application. Everything else is still pending.JJDancer wrote:Sorry to hear that.Anonymous User wrote:Email rejection from Perkins Coie.
Would you mind sharing when you applied (rough range like early Jan or by Jan 15 or something is fine)
Thanks.

thanks, sooo nervous. I want this job so bad. I've met/know about 6 of the partners that work there (none of whom interviewed me though) so we'll see if connections are able to play favorably.r6_philly wrote:Good luck!paulinaporizkova wrote:for the one I applied to, yesAnonymous User wrote:Do these typically lead to full time offers?
I need to get something going here!
Do you mean they lead to an offer for 2L and then an offer for full time? If you didn't work for them again for 2L would they really give an offer for full time? (I really have no idea, just wondering.)paulinaporizkova wrote:for the one I applied to, yesAnonymous User wrote:Do these typically lead to full time offers?

right, mine said they would invite most people from the diversity fellowship back for a 2L SA (if you proved yourself on the job that is) which would most likely lead to a full time offer because with the economy and all the firm is trying to hire less but "higher quality" SAs that they can keep on for full time positions and who want to stay at the firm. IDK but I would bet other firms are taking the same approach to save moneybk187 wrote:Do you mean they lead to an offer for 2L and then an offer for full time? Someone in one of my classes is splitting his 2L summer (part with his 1L SA firm, not sure if diversity, and part with another firm). Seems like the ideal thing to do if you do end up getting a 1L SA and the firms are okay with splitting.paulinaporizkova wrote:right, mine said they would invite most people from the diversity fellowship back for a 2L SA (if you proved yourself on the job that is) which would most likely lead to a full time offer because with the economy and all the firm is trying to hire less but "higher quality" SAs that they can keep on for full time positions and who want to stay at the firm. Snail mail dings from Wachtell just started rolling out. I think they've made some positive movement too, but this is based on speculation (and hence, possibly incorrect speculation).Anonymous User wrote:Anyone heard back from Weil? or Wachtell?
yeah I interviewed and got dinged few days later. the rejection email was sent by my career counselor which stung a bit given that she was the one who was encouraging me to apply to it.Anonymous User wrote:Any NYC Bar Applicants?
