Chicago SA Housing

Post by SpiteFence » Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:14 am

I'm currently considering my housing options in Chicago for my SA position. I've lived in Chicago before, but I don't really know the discount/premium I will have to pay for summer apartments. I've looked into some of the big student complexes, like University Center, The Buckingham, SAIC, etc. but it seems so pricey especially if I want some degree of privacy. I'm wondering what past and future Chicago SAs have done?

I found a place on Craigslist...rented a room. I like the Lincoln Park/Lakeview area.

Agreed, try CL for short-term housing--with so many schools in the city, lots of students leave town for the summer and are willing to rent our their places fully furnished for a great rate.
