OCI question: Do cover letters need my signature?

Do you actually need a real signature on your cover letter? Since we are uploading them on simplicity, my only option is to physically print them all out, sign my name, and scan them. This is a pain in the ass, so I'd rather not.

Absolutely not. Just write your name, don't even change the font.

However, if you send a physical application to anyone be sure and sign the cover letter, not just type your name.

I was silly enough to send my first by mail cover letter without a signature. Thank god I only sent one of those!
