pretty late to send it out at this point. i mean, if you have the time and inclination, why not -- but i know some big firms have filled up a lot of spots.
Thanks, but if it weren't too late would I even have a chance? I guess I'm just not sure whether my ranking is high enough to justify spending the time.
It doesn't hurt to try. However, I'm not sure the ranking alone would make you competitive.

One recruiter told me her office received over 400 applications for less than 10 1L positions.
Wow, at least it won't kill me not to get an SA gig for 1L summer, I know how rare those can be but it would be nice regardless. I'll really start worrying for 2L summer...

V&E, FJ, or BB? I don't know of any program in Houston or Dallas that is slated to be bigger than 8 or so 1Ls.

Can we get a list of which offices we know have given out offers?

Also, was anyone dinged after an interview but before grades?

Thanks.

Dallas Offices that have given out offers:

Jones Day
Fulbright

Also, both Bracewell and Baker Botts (Dallas) expect to give out offers towards the end of January, after receiving grades.

What kind of time limit do these offers have attached to them?

Wouldn't firms simply follow the NALP 28 day rule (as in the case with 2L SA offers)?

I don't recall there being a separate set of rules.

After turning in applications to Baker Botts (any office), did they contact you for grades?

yeah but Baker Botts is kinda weird because of their application process. When I applied I didn't have grades. Never heard back. Now that I have grades, should I reapply and send the grades as an attachment in their little online application thingy? If a recruiting coordinator contacted anyone asking for grades, how did they go about it?

curious, how would one usually go about updating a firm with grades? i dont have grades yet, and so none of my apps had grades attached. a few asked for grades, but many remained silent. when grades come out, if they are good, do i just shoot it over as an attachment with an email? for them to add to my app? or reapply all together?

my question exactly. particularly with Baker Botts.

T6, URM.

Offer from JD at the end of a day long interview, offer from Fulbright 2 days after interview. Fulbright initially asked for grades but apparently everyone on the hiring committee liked me so they went ahead and gave an offer. Also, it should be noted I have a connection with a Sr associate @ Fulbright.

I'm also wondering about this. I got the V&E "we'll contact you soon" e-mail. Sooo, do I just send them my grades now, even if unsolicited?
