DOJ-Honors doesn't start particularly high but there is potential to be $100k w/in five years.

Yea.... I knew someone who kept saying they were applying to the UN and would post on FB about how their UN apps were going. I'm pretty sure he RA'ed that summer. He almost got there!!

I haven't looked up the info in a little while, but I think some upper-level prosecutors/attorneys in state attorneys general offices make a decent living. A lot of times they don't accept people right out of law school (especially in smaller states) but if you could get some sort of litigation job for a couple of years and tough it out, you could try to apply if a spot opens (though, in this economy, those are admittedly few and far between).
