I just summed the acceptances on the spreadsheet and got 391. No idea where this person is getting their data.

Guess I should be thankful I chose Yale over Harvard. :)

CLS has consistently led the way (percentage-wise) in Biglaw placement. Doesn't mean CLS is a better school, HLS wins in a lot of other employment categories.

Exactly; why are people surprised that a school in NYC is sending more of it's students to NYC firms than a school that isn't in NYC? The real boost that HYS receives over the lower schools are in clerkships, non NYC firm jobs, PI, and government work.

Northwestern 2009 OCI was 60% of those who attempted OCI. So that will be less than 60%. Probably less than 50%. But definitely more than 40%.

When they say 650 participants, does that figure include 3L's and LLM's? If so, the equivalent # at CLS is around 500 people, which would bring down their EIP success rate to ~55% (as opposed to Harvard's 58%).

There was a lot of anon abuse in this thread. I fixed that. Also:

I'm guessing yes on 3Ls and no on LLMs. (There are 284 CLS LLMs, so the equivalent number would be closer to 600ish.)

Please read, to avoid being banned yourself. That goes for anyone not familiar with the anon regulation sticky, too. It's stickied in the forum for a reason.

By the way, there's no actual link in the thread, people are just posting comments. Where are people getting this from?

If you read down through some of the comments, it appears that there is some information available to only HLS students (probably requires a private log-in since the informaton was probably ment to be kept confidential).

im not sure on the total # of participants, but ill assume thats true; that includes more than 2Ls you know. the 377 is from HLS data (i think its wrong btw, its 391 as others have stated)

iunno what the whole big fuss is over...HLS class size is ~550...there are ~40 transfers a yr. even if you assume 100% of all 2L students attend EIP (very doubtful), that'd only be 590...so that 650 numbers means very little when comparing data w/ other schools and 2L OCI success rates (its also not offer rates but offers that were accepted)

since 391 is the likely numerator, and even 590 is a highly unlikely denominator (iunno what it should be tho, 540?)...the % comes out very, very differently for 2Ls/2Ls who ACCEPTED offers

Weak Sauce modding right here.

As a harvard student you have harvard access to the harvard OCI data on harvard's servers.

Post the real info.

Sigh. There was a warning in the thread already, and everything.
