For a very small boutique law firm (15 attorneys) in a major metropolitan city, roughly how much do they earn per year? Suppose the firm had IP and corporate divisions, would the salary differ depending on which division you join?

It varies far too much from city to city and from firm to firm.

I've seen firms all over the range:
I've seen ads from firms looking for associates to start working for free, I have a friend who told me that his summer firm offered him ~30 to stay on, the firm I summered at would pay about 65 if I stayed there, some boutiques pay closer to market, and there are some elite boutiques that rarely hire out of law school and start at big firm salary or higher plus bonus.

This is going to sound arbitrary, but what floor is this boutique on? If you say ground floor, I'm going to say associates start under $100k.
