Sorry to hear that.

To respond to an earlier post - I was a recent summer at NP. The firm provides a great balance between work and social events. I had a chance to get involved with various practice areas, each of which provided invaluable insights because I actually received substantive work.

I assume the fact that I have not heard anything yet means bad news is on the way?

I know that at least 1 California office of NP has a policy of never extending more offers than the total number of summers they are willing to take. Then they wait until offers are turned down before making more offers. As a result, it's possible that people could be sitting on NP offers for the whole NALP 28-day waiting period, and that's what's keeping you from hearing anything (this is even worse when you consider schools like Stanford waited until the last week of August to even start OCI, meaning that an offer following a CB for a Stanford student could push the end of the 28-day period all the way to mid-October).

In case this is helpful in terms of letting folks know where they are in the process, I received an offer yesterday for the DC office.

Thanks... Does anyone else have positive news from DC? I'm taking the offer and (not to be thoroughly obnoxious on this forum) am curious who else may be joining me come summer 2013?

I know invitations have gone for mass mail callbacks have gone out. I was supposed to have mine two weeks ago but cancelled b/c I accepted another offer. But NP Long Island is definitely moving right now.

I've been told by an inside source that the East Coast offices have finished interviews/are simply waiting on their current pool -- so no mass-mail hope there.

I saw this got curious and went through their NALP and was surprised by how extensive the no offering was. Looked at like five offices and seemed to be about 66% offers.

What are you referring to? Looking at their firmwide NALP, it states 17/21 SA's received offers.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
