How much does not having actual work experience hurt ITE?

i mean yea it counts....but paralegals are a dime a dozen in law school

I can't speak to being a firm paralegal, but I was a paralegal for a government agency for two years. I did the same thing as attorneys and employers were VERY interested in hearing about my experiences during OCI. That said though, grades are still #1. For me, my WE definitely helped me secure cbs and ultimately offers, but I had good (but not fantastic) grades that got me in the door to start with.
