Has anyone had their application status change yet? Or have an idea when that will happen? With offers expiring in the near future, I'd really like to know if I have a shot at this (selected Civil and Civil Rights).
Edit: I see on xoxo that some Honors applicants have been referred to components. Anyone know if they are on a slightly different timeline than us SLIP 2Ls?

I can't tell you about the status of applications, but I can tell you that NALP guidelines allow you to keep a single firm offer open until April pending a decision by a public interest organization. DOJ SLIP would count, I believe.

My status hasn't moved (top 25%, MVBP), but notwithstanding the fact that a few seemingly very qualified people have had their status change, how do we know that the status change means anything at this stage? (I'm the first person to post a status change above.) I think if you look back at past threads here and on xoxo it seems that people who are referred tend to be more likely to receive an interview. I think referrals are more based on when you submitted your application than anything else.

^Thats also unlikely true as my friend and I submitted it at the same time (late), and he isn't referred yet (he's also much higher in the class). It could do w/ the different components.

My buddy at my old T50 school told me he already got selected with an offer in the civil rights division. I donno if he was just pulling my chain..... Do they interview before offering?
