I mailed EAPD, but was rejected. I got a CB at K&L, but for the NYC office (through screening).

Care to be a bit more specific or provide any other data (i.e. circa CB date/offer date)?

Can't say too much since it seems that very few offers have gone out. CB to offer in less than a week. Very surprising given the timeline they initially explained.

Would you be willing to share any info on your stats? school rank, class percentile, etc?

I'd really rather just know the firm. Not like they will retract your offer even if you are the only one.

Just some Boston firm info for those going through (I went through several years ago). Some of this is second-hand info so take it for what it's worth; but, it's the buzz I've heard around Boston.

Careful with EAPD, they canceled their summer program in 2009 ago last minute with little notice to summers; really screwed a lot of people. I heard they laid off a lot of first years from class of 2009 too.

Brown Rudnick is a real sweatshop right now, little quality of life. They're squeezing every last drop out of their associates. Granted, I've heard other firms are doing this too, but heard they are doing it to an extreme.

Obviously check out deferral dates on abovethelaw. Though, firms are trying to correct timing to get rid of deferrals. Your class might be the lucky class.

With the new rules, I don't think it's worth speculating on turnover time for firms. Best of luck to everyone. If you are lucky enough to get multiple offers, I'd suggest making a thread so people can help provide info. I know I'd be happy to help anyone if I could.

Can the poster with the offer tell us which firm has begun given offers already?

Sorry man but the fact that nobody else has heard makes me skittish. They'll know its me and firms really don't like people that tend to discuss them on the internet.

For what it's worth, I have a good friend at Nixon who loves it. She says more substantive work than similarly ranked firms in Boston and very collegial atmosphere.

Nothing against the firm. I just think I'd rather stay in NYC and get paid market.

Absolutely, it is nice to have choices, and you should do what you want. It may open up one more Boston job for the rest of us.

Totally fair reasons and I commend you for not wasting anyone's time. Just wanted to share what I've heard.
