I'm from a non-Boston school, and everyone I know who was looking in Boston has at least 1 or 2 offers right now. Maybe it's different at the local schools where proportionately there are more people competing for the limited spots allotted for each school.

This is a joke, right. Most firms I talked with were having summer classes of fewer than 10.
Outside of Ropes (70), Wilmer (30), and GP (30ish I think), most firms are under 10. Bingham 5-6, Skadden 2-3, Choate 8-10, Foley 5-8... I don't think thats exactly good.
Your numbers are a bit inflated from what I know. What is your source? Via word of mouth and comparison with last year's numbers, it is more like Ropes (40), GP (10) and foley hoag (20). GP has tons of deferred associates coming in this year.

Also, grapevine tells me Bingham has made an offer or two.

I think Ropes is having a lot more the 20...http://abovethelaw.com/2010/07/things-a ... -100-news/
Choate is having 15, according to the recruiter.
EAPD is having 5, Proskauer is having more than the 4 they had last year.

Is Bingham really only having 5-6? Did they tell you that during your interview? If so, they are having an unconscionable number of callbacks for that many slots--everyone I know had a CB there!

10 GP summers? Seems a bit low.

Yea, I went CB to reject in 2 days. They're doing a ton of CBs, and giving a very small amount of offers.

Can anybody elaborate on the offers that have gone out from Foley & Lardner or Sullivan & Worcester? When were your CBs? Time between CB and offer? Etc.

Cooley gave out an offer as well. It wasn't to me, sadly :( I struck out in Boston.

I haven't heard of any EAPD offers going out.

How about Weil? I am dying here.

Weil said they will not be making any decisions until the middle of this week. I'd expect to hear back sometime between tomorrow and Friday.
