Still silence from Weil/Skadden?

Is Sullivan & Worcester really not extending offers until early October? Won't that put them at a disadvantage, since their top choices may be coming up against NALP deadlines from other firms? I wonder why they are waiting so long.

They may not want to waste offers on people with offers from higher ranked firms.Anonymous User wrote:Is Sullivan & Worcester really not extending offers until early October? Skadden has made offers. A friend has one, sitting on it for a couple weeks.

Holding me so far, no doubt. What a bummer.
Is poster above's friend sitting because Skadden is a real choice, or is he more likely to turn down?

Why do some firms pay less? I have an offer from a national firm with Boston office that pays $30k below market. Any ideas? What about how payscale goes up from there?

S&W or Nutter? Some firms don't make as much, not as much revenue. The bigger, more successful tend to pay more, i.e. the trinity of GP, WH, R&GAnonymous User wrote:Why do some firms pay less? Seems almost too short, seeing as how it is the end of September.
Has anyone heard from Mintz?

I would be really shocked if Bingham and Proskauer Rose are still silent at this point.

Boston market seemed pretty good this year--do most people have an offer at this point?

This is a joke, right. Most firms I talked with were having summer classes of fewer than 10.Anonymous User wrote:Boston market seemed pretty good this year--do most people have an offer at this point?

Re: Any Boston offers?
Outside of Ropes (70), Wilmer (30), and GP (30ish I think), most firms are under 10. Bingham 5-6, Skadden 2-3, Choate 8-10, Foley 5-8... I don't think thats exactly good.KMaine wrote:This is a joke, right.
