Fly in the night before, fly out that night.Anonymous User wrote:First of all, I know I'm overthinking this, but I don't want to take any chances. As it stands now, I have a CB with a firm next Friday scheduled for 2 pm. I'm flying out there to meet with them, hence the Friday schedule. On the phone, the recruiter gave me the option of several Thursday times, which I declined, b/c I'm flying in on Thursday, or Friday at 10 or 2. Interview is supposed to be 2 hours long. I chose 2, thinking that I want plenty of time to drive into the city and find parking (firm is in my home secondary market), and get to the interview 15 mins early or so. I thought that rushing around in the morning and perhaps having to fight traffic might make me late or more stressed out at the interview. Now, I am wondering if it was a mistake to schedule a CB for Friday afternoon. Basically, I think I will do better at the 2 pm time, but I am worried that the interviewers might resent having to meet with me on a Friday afternoon when they are trying to get out of the office or finish up work before the weekend. Again, I was offered the choice of either time, chose 2, but am now unsure that it was the right choice. Any constructive feedback would be appreciated.
OP here. It's the Friday after Labor Day weekenddisco_barred wrote:True or false: next Friday is the day before a long weekend?
My feedback - although slightly off topic - would be to decide as soon as possible and call tomorrow morning. Depending on when you scheduled, you might not have the option for an earlier timeslot anymore if another candidate scheduled the slot. My on-topic feedback is that, since it's not a holiday weekend, attorneys and partners aren't going to be leaving the office early anyway (I worked in a law firm as a litigation paralegal and we always stayed late into Friday nights since Fridays = filing deadline). If that's your only issue, then you really shouldn't worry about changing it.Anonymous User wrote:First of all, I know I'm overthinking this, but I don't want to take any chances.
