I don't know when exactly is too late, but I have callbacks scheduled for the 10th and 11th of Sep, so the 16th sounds fine to me.

I have on the 24 and 28!

I have one the first week of October, as it was the earliest date the firm had available (V-20, NYC). I called the woman in recruiting and she said they do offers all at once though, so I wouldn't worry too much, unless it seems like other people are interviewing far in advance of September 16 and you're worried about your chances.

I had a V10 CB that started at 10, was two hours long, and didn't include lunch.

Got an offer a week later.

Time of day does not matter.

I've had a hell of a time scheduling my callbacks. All of the firms are booked solid until late September ... or at least that's the case at the NYC firms that gave me CBs. I couldn't get a callback scheduled at my top choice until September 30.

I had to schedule a CB for Sep 24 and I'm now going through the anxiety of this thread. Of course, I didn't really get an option for the three intervening weeks, so not much I could do. Do you think firms mostly group together candidates from a certain week, or are they very much operating on a more rolling basis?

It does seem to depend on the firm and school you go to. I had five CBs so far, all in NYC and all started around 10-10:30ish with lunch. But my Cravath CB isn't until mid-September but I'm not worried because it's so picky about who they call back and I go to HYS.
