Re: Michigan 2010 OCI Callbacks
I know PH NY gave callbacks already, but has anyone gotten a rejection yet? I haven't heard either way, and am wondering what's going on with the apps. (I realize PH sent out rejections for other schools already.)

Re: Michigan 2010 OCI Callbacks
I think it depends on the market. For NY it's about 2.5-3 hours. I did some mid-size, non-OCI firm interviews outside of NY, and they were 5 hours+ (and exhausting because I spoke the entire time).Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard of CB interviews just being an hour? I just scheduled mine and was told it would only take about an hour.... seems like kind of a waste of a hotel/flight, doesn't it?

Has anyone been able to schedule a callback earlier than mid-September? Wondering how concerned I should be since firms give out rolling offers.

Re: Michigan 2010 OCI Callbacks
I had one last week and I know some others who did as well. I think that mid-September you should be fine; several firms didn't give me any earlier dates than that because they weren't even doing them until that time. I wouldn't worry too much; mid-September is probably only the middle of their interviewing process, so I doubt they'd run out of offers before then. Don't forget, other schools are still having OCI or just finished it.

Thanks for responding. Are you targeting NY? I'm having a hard time scheduling NY callbacks before mid-Sept.Anonymous User wrote:I had one last week and I know some others who did as well.

Re: Michigan 2010 OCI Callbacks
My interviews run throughout September and into early October. I know some of them feel fairly late but I scheduled the earliest available slot in every instance, so firms may just be on different schedules.
Also, I'm targeting NYC, so this would track with others' comments about the difficulty of scheduling early interviews in that market.

But has anyone gotten rejections from them? I'm just wondering why I haven't been rejected yet. I've gotten other rejections from firms I interviewed with on the same day as those two.Anonymous User wrote:W&C and Sidley have given out callbacks. Re: Michigan 2010 OCI Callbacks
This seems to be the big question: is no news really good news? The most popular answer seems to be "yes": the firms are going in phases, giving out offers to the top kids first, and once they've resolved the status of those individuals they'll move on to the next group and there'll be another wave of callbacks (and dings). On the other hand, a 3L commented, "That's what people thought would happen last year..."Anonymous User wrote:But has anyone gotten rejections from them?
