CB here, and I know of 2 other people with them, day after the interview.

2 people with CBs too---not rejections. Some firms send them way late in the cycle. I don't know if Ropes is one of them though.

When is OCI for BU/BC? Does Ropes do OCI at WashU?

Also, did you hear back from Ropes? I'm not in BC/BU, so I'm still anxious about it.
It comes the day after your call I think.. I highly doubt Ropes is sending out decisions based on school. From what I heard they didnt even do interviews with students from H at the fair and that seems like it would be the school to get special treatment if any did.
Hey, I'm so confused.

So for Skadden, it happened last year for you? Or a few days ago, you got a call, and got an email the day after? I got the call yesterday. And I haven't got the email yet.

So for Ropes, you think they've sent out all call backs? What do you mean that they didn't even do interviews with students from H? You meant they didn't give CB to H students? Or you think no one (including BC/BU) has heard back from them?
You really need to chill out.. Skadden will send you the email, if you dont get it within a few days then just email the recruiting person. Ropes interviews literally hundreds of H students at their on-campus event from what I have been told and according to my friend none of the H students at BLG interviewed with ropes.

I can almost assure that they arent giving out BLG callbacks on different timelines based on school.. on the callbacks I have done so far the interviewer's notes say what fair you were selected from, not your school name [besides being on your resume and stuff]

That. If Ropes dinged you--it's okay---you are talking about a Skadden callback above in your inquiry about Ropes. Seems like you are doing alright. Don't be a CB hoarder!

It's just that Ropes is my top firm. So if I get a CB and secure an offer, my job hunting is done! But apparently, there are miles to go.

Yeah I haven't heard from Ropes either, T14, top 15% and law review. Several callbacks from other BLG firms.

I'm top ~25% at a 30-40 and got 6 of 10 CBs...it's all about how you interview once you've been preselected.

Can you elaborate please? Have an OCI interview scheduled at BU/BC.

Pulled out of OCI at H. I think only hiring one or two people and only for corporate.

Ditto. But several of mine actually told me they wouldn't be making any decisions until after labor day, so I wouldn't be too concerned yet.

Bumping this up out of curiosity, with the application deadline in about a month.

Is there any point doing this job fair for candidates that are top 20% from a top 3 school in Canada (one of the ones that occasionally American firms will hire from, though mainly for NY)? No ties to Boston.

It seems like it's a bit of a long shot already even for candidates from good schools in the US, let alone Canada.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
