Quinn people: Did you actually get a callback, or were you just invited to the dinner?

Dinner, but was told at the dinner that I would be receiving a callback.

re: Quinn

Dinner (which I couldn't go to), but I was told when I received the invite that "this means we'll be inviting you back to the office."

Crowell DC on Thursday (email and phone call).

No other word from the DC offices I interviewed with, except rejection email from Cleary (ouch).

Is this general consensus that DC is just gonna be slow? I'm sweating bullets here. Has anyone heard from secondary markets?

Spoke to a number of classmates, have only really heard of NYC and Boston callbacks so far. Nothing from DC or CA yet that I've heard.

That's what I was thinking. But I'm afraid to get my hopes up.

So far, on this forum, Hogan and Crowell have had some callbacks. Any others I'm missing?

But, yeah, it seems like maybe DC is slow. Or maybe the folks that got lots of DC CBs just aren't on this site (or friends of people on this site)...

I spoke to OCS about this and they said that most DC and CA firms are slower and as a result, don't panic.

I've heard some real people (as in non-LR) receive quite a few. 6, 7, 8...heard of a transfer student receiving around 10...

Of course, people with no callbacks are less inclined to talk about it, but the vibe I get is that it's better than last year for sure.

I know five people with 3 CB and one person with 2 CB all of them are around median....

I've only gotten one so far.

I don't know what median means - what do you guys think it means? I'm assuming like no L's and 3 H's?

I've gotten 3 through my own direct mailing campaign to my home market. I'm still at a goose egg from OCI.

I've got one friend with 1 H and 9 P's whose got 3. Another friend with 10 P's who's at 3 and another one with around 3-4 H's with 4. All of theirs are from NY.

Where does 6 H's put you in terms of ranking? I'm not having very much luck.

Which is a long way of saying...it's really hard to predict based on grades alone.

Personality matters. I know people with an LP or otherwise average grades doing quite well.
