Resume Collect Screening Interviews
Question for you all -- I go to a lower T1, and submitted my resume/transcript/etc. for a number of resume collects done through the school. So far (as expected), I haven't heard back from most of them, but a couple of days ago, I was invited to a screening interview with a V10 firm (at their office). The first week of September was the earliest they could schedule it -- and I know most callbacks are taking place during this time. Question is -- do you all think I have a legitimate shot at the firm? They haven't recruited from my school in recent years. I'd love to work for them for many reasons (practice area, firm culture, etc.), but they're a bit out of my league. Has anyone had success with resume collect opportunities in general? I'd appreciate hearing the TLS community's thoughts on this. Thanks!

I wil. But when I walk into the room, I like to have maximum control of my chances. Part of that is knowing what I'm up against.Tanicius wrote:How could we possibly answer this. Just give it your all dude.

Always assume you have a legit shot. Why would you go into an interview with anything less than full confidence? Just shooting yourself in the foot.Anonymous User wrote:I wil. Why would they go through the expense if you didn't have a shot?

Re: Resume Collect Screening Interviews
Resume collects just started scheduling phone interviews at my school. They are absolutely considering candidates. The timeline is just slightly different than their on-campus recruiting.

If a firm invites you for a "first round interview" from a resume collect, and the interview is out of town, does the firm pay for your travel?
