I wasn't asked for any of that (i've only been asked for that stuff at 1/6 places so far). Nor was I taken to lunch, but then again I scheduled my CB at 230. When was your CB?

Where on Symplicity are reviews by past Columbia students/summer associates at each firm? I could've sworn I saw that earlier in the year.

After how long should we email to see if they've made decisions or when they plan to? This wait is killing me and it feels like I can't focus on classwork.

Wait, you had your callback on the last day of EIP (August 17)?

The Friday after, so not exactly a month but pretty close.

I also had a callback on the 24th and still haven't heard back from them. I wonder if we're talking about the same firm?

I've been waiting on them too [different poster]. Judging from the two weeks date on their website and the fact their cb to offer ratio was so low last year I figure I'm rejected.

I know they've made at least one offer to a CLS person and that they made the offer 1 week after CB. I don't know why, if we are in the reject pile, they can't just tell us that. If I weren't sitting on an offer already, I'd be sweating bullets. This is bordering on unprofessional at this point.

I'd think it makes some sense to hold everyone. This year might be more uncertain in terms of who will accept offers where. Then again they called back more than enough people last year from CLS alone to fill out their summer class. Did they tell you if they were increasing the size of the summer program at all?

Congrats on the offer. Are you running up on the 28 days (you seem peeved)?

no, not running up against the 28 days. i guess i seem peeved because i really liked the joint despite reading lots of discouraging news about layoffs, chances to make partner, etc. also, i feel as though i was very prompt with them in scheduling the callback. i think the thing that makes me most peeved is that it's been three weeks despite being told i'd know in a week. and, at 2.5 weeks, i called just to get a status update and haven't gotten a call back. as i said, i don't mind being rejected or even being told they just don't know yet. but, to not have the courtesy to return my call to tell me that seems unprofessional. i don't know. maybe i'm just being a baby about it.
