Yeah, I think the report of a Simpson offer one day after callback is BS.

Actually, it may be true. I overheard a convo between students that one of their gfs just got an offer from "a firm in the Chrysler building." STB is located there.

Not saying it could be accurate though, as this is clearly third-hand information. Yay eavesdropping though...

List of offers that I've heard of going out:

SullCrom; Cravath; Debovoise. Please add as you hear of some.

I go to a different school, but I know from my school and from friends at other schools that STB has made offers on the spot in CBs, within a day, even on the spot in a screener interview. So this report seems perfectly legit.

After callbacks, do firms send rejections? Or do they only send offers or silence? Forgive the ignorance.

I am. I don't know why so many people here consider them a bad idea. It's really baffling for me. After all my screeners, I sent thank-you emails, and during my callback invitations (and I received quite a few), many people thanked me for my "thoughtful email" (or something along those lines).

I know two people who got STB CBs on Friday after interviewing on Thursday. I interviewed Monday and haven't heard anything, so I think they must meet once a week (Thursday evenings maybe?) to decide.

Interviewed last Friday with STB and have not yet heard back. Thought it went very well.

They told me at least a week, maybe 2.

Yes sorry, the STB offers went out Friday for people who had callback interviews Thursday and before.
