Did anyone else encounter a bed bug problem after a Winston callback? Great.

At this point, I'd take the bedbugs if it meant they'd call me back after my sixish weeks ago callback.Anonymous User wrote:Did anyone else encounter a bed bug problem after a Winston callback? Great.

They are absolutely holding everyone. Re: CLS EIP Offers 2010
I've heard ancedotal stores of people getting cbs in October last year. Winston might be waiting to see who goes to the higher-ranked firms. I think firms like PW, Debevoise, etc are hiring more people and so Winston might have a lot of people declining their offer. Does anyone know of a person declining a Winston offer?Anonymous User wrote:experiencing the same thing with another firm. six weeks since cb. are these long waits new this year? anyone have an idea why the long delay? our early eip and cbs? new nalp rules?Anonymous User wrote:They are absolutely holding everyone. I don't mind being on hold. I had one firm call a week after my CB and say that they sent offers and rejections, but I was on hold pending the number of acceptances they got from the offers they sent out. I have no problem with this whatsoever. I appreciated the update. With Winston, however, not only have they not contacted me, they have refused to call me back (3 calls at this point) when I've contacted them.

Yikes. Did you at least get word back from the other firm? I know a lot of HR depts let phones go straight to voicemail this time of year, but they always get back in touch within one day or so.Anonymous User wrote:I know of one person.Anonymous User wrote:

This was very recently, so I'm still on hold. It's not even close to the 28 days so I'd guess people haven't made a decision. I was told they made 10 offers (looking for a class of eight) have 6 holds and the rest were rejected. In other words, really good communication from this firm. WInston on the other hand . . . highly unprofessional. You'd think I was their loan shark the way they're avoiding me.Anonymous User wrote:Yikes. Did you at least get word back from the other firm? If it'll help anyone, I'm gonna call and remove myself from consideration. I don't want to work for a firm that treats people this way, especially when one of those people is me.

Good luck trying to get in touch with them to tell them that. I doubt you'll be able to do even that.Anonymous User wrote:This was very recently, so I'm still on hold. As someone it would very much help, don't do this unless you have another offer in hand. If you do, I wonder why you've waited so long (part of what's stressing me is just the wait).Anonymous User wrote:This was very recently, so I'm still on hold. Re: CLS EIP Offers 2010
I do have an offer in hand. I've waited because I really liked the screener and I liked 3 of the 5 callback interviewers a ton and liked the other 2 well enough. So, overall I really liked the firm. It just never occurred to me that they could behave so unprofessionally, so I just kept giving it "a couple more days." In the mean time, I've done other callbacks and gotten a few offers, so I've been busy revisiting those firms. After giving it a "couple more days" several times, I realize it's been six-ish weeks.Anonymous User wrote:

Called and withdrew from WInston today. Well, at least I think I did. No one answered the phone (of course), so I had to leave a message. Watch this be the one time they call me back. Though, it was as though the Universe was telling me I was doing the right thing because another call beeped in while I was leaving a message. It was another offer.Anonymous User wrote:That's a long time with no contact at all. Let us know how it goes.Anonymous User wrote:I do have an offer in hand. Well, good to know my chances went up however slightly. Sounds like you have multiple offers though. School/grade range, by any chance?Anonymous User wrote:Called and withdrew from WInston today. Your chances went up even more than you think. I know of one person with an offer from them who turned them down today or yesterday. School? This is the CLS EIP thread, no? grade range? No idea. Not LR if that's any help.Anonymous User wrote:Well, good to know my chances went up however slightly. Sounds like you have multiple offers though. Hm that's interesting. Not Stone either? I know it's a CLS thread but both the callback and offer threads have been unusually active compared to other schools and would seem to be a great place to get firm-specific info.Anonymous User wrote:Your chances went up even more than you think. I'm pretty sure biglaw callback season is over for CLS.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
