Has anyone heard from Philly or DC firms yet? I know they told us that NY will be going faster than some of the other markets. I mostly applied outside of NYC and haven't heard anything.

Also, what is the median at Penn? I always thought it was curved to about a B+, but I never saw anything specific.

They don't tell us what median is, but from what I can tell it's a little bit under a B+, like 3.25-3.3 or so.

Also, I haven't heard anything from Philly yet, or NYC, or anywhere for that matter. No callbacks or rejections from 9 interviews.

I've heard of one or more of NY and DC from others though I still think it's far too early to make anything of it at all whatsoever.

Above median, secondary journal -- 2 rejections from NYC firms (of 3 interviewed with so far), and I've heard nothing from all 6 DC firms I've interviewed with so far.

Is it just me or is OCI going extremely poorly?

Heard that someone got Jones Day and Goodwin DC.

I agree with other posters that it's too early to say whether things are going badly -- we still have four days of interviews left. I heard that last year if you were around the median the max number of callbacks you received was 1 or 2, so hopefully this year will be better.

I'm definitely in the top 1/3rd or 1/4th... and I've only gotten 1 callback so far. As of Friday night, I had done 20 interviews.

How could you even begin to tell how OCR is going at this point? Calm down.

Just curious, what qualifies as "definitely" top 1/3rd?

And otherwise -- 20 interviews in the first three days? Damn, I've had 9.

3.5 I think is roughly the top 33% mark.

NYC and some DC....some firms have been way out of my league but most I should have had a shot at. I did 17 this week and have 10 more next week, so I only struck out 17 times as of yet. I also just got a dinged via-mail after a local market call-back previous to OCR. NICE.
:( ITE sucks. At least you have another 10 interviews. (I got 10 total interviews via my school's OCI.) Good luck to the both of us!

Not surprising that the top people are doing well, that was kind of a given. Didn't know what to expect for the not top people, and it's looking pretty brutal so far.

Strongly disagree. I have below median friends with multiple V100 callbacks.

Things that matter:

(1)Top 1/3rd grades;
(2)LR (grade or write-on);
(3)Diversity or;
(4)Prior FULL-TIME work experience (seems to be the saving grace of those around (above or below) median)

....all the folks i know with callbacks have at least 1 of those 4 attributes
