Agreed. All the 3Ls who were in the same position as us last year ended up getting summer jobs. Sure, a lot of them could have gotten firm jobs a few years ago, but it doesn't seem like biglaw will ever return to those times. We're not screwed, we just have to try harder. Plus, I'm still optimistic that more people will get offers. Callbacks are still going on so hopefully in a few weeks, this thread will be full of good news.Anonymous User wrote:
I am in a similar position gradewise: just a little bit above top quarter and no CBs. Waiting on two firms, but probably dinged everywhere. Biglaw is not my holy grail, so I take it in stride. I have a good internship in house right now. It's not going to be easy, but I don't believe we're all screwed, in the general sense.

Surrrrrre they do. Sounds like CPC doesn't want a riot on its hands. it is important to note that if you have been rejected by all of your screeners that no callbacks are available.During the CPC's callback panel, the firms said that cbs continue into october.
Did CPC say this as well? Is this anecdotal? I specifically recall two people as late as April saying they had applied for volunteer positions but could not get in anywhere. That is admittedly anecdotal. All the 3Ls who were in the same position as us last year ended up getting summer jobs.

Re: Fordham 2010 OCI Callback Thread
I'm the above poster. For the first question, it wasn't CPC that said it, it was the firms that were at the panel. I didn't mean that they'll call you back until october though. I meant that callbacks go on into october so naturally offers can still be given out in the next few weeks.Anonymous User wrote:Surrrrrre they do. For the second question, point taken: I didn't mean every single 3L. I was thinking about people on my journal, PIRC group, and other 3Ls that I know generally. So yes, it is anecdotal, but I'm just trying to bring some hope into this thread. I'm not ready to think that we're all screwed in terms of job prospects generally (meaning, not only in biglaw). A few of us may be, but I certainly don't think it's all or even a majority of us.

Is there anyone who still hasn't heard anything from firms from EIW? It'd been almost a month since my screener interview and no contact...

I don't want to disclose what firms since I'm not talking about myself here. but yes LR and/or top 10. basically the same people with a ton of interviews during EIW.Anonymous User wrote:could you be more specific please? ie what firm, are they on law review top 10?Anonymous User wrote:different poster but i know a few now who have offers trickling in.Anonymous User wrote:i know someone who just got an offer.
