Has anyone heard (for better or worse) from Winston & Strawn or Cadwalader?

I've heard from both, about a week ago. Sorry, I don't remember the interviewers, and I can't seem to find the paper right now where I wrote them down.

Not that office, but I just got a PH rejection for NYC by snailmail yesterday. The girl interviewer in employment law... I can't remember her name.

(Sorry, that was supposed to be quoting the post above...)

Has anybody with grades substantially above median (but not law review) only got one callback, or none at all?

I am on law review with grades substantially above median (I estimate top 20% or so), and I just got my first callback yesterday. May be giving myself away here, but I don't really mind. I believe I am somewhat of a special situation (a number of small negative factors may weigh against me in the law firm world). Got a few other interesting opportunites through outreach over the summer. But it is possible to have good grades, LR and a not totally horrible personality (I believe) and still have almost no success at OCI. I can't complain, too much, though. At least I have a job next summer.

for those of us with few or no callbacks, what is the next step if we don't get an offer? does anyone have any thoughts as to what we should do, places we should apply, etc...?

this could easily be a problem for some people who have a lot of callbacks and just, don't get offers, so this might be useful for everyone to discuss.

I think it would be really useful for everyone to post their number of CBs and an estimated GPA and we can see what the trend was like this year.

Up to now, we have:

4/ ~3.55
8/ ~3.55
6/ ~3.39
2/ ~3.35
2/ ~3.28
7/ ~3.5
2/ ~3.3

Who else? If you mentioned yours and it's not up here, repost.

So, I posted above. My GPA is 3.55, again only 1 callback, though I think my experience is atypical because of a number of unusual factors particular to me. Also a couple of firms in my target market said it would be over 2 weeks before they would give any CBs. Got 4 midlaw callbacks (2 offers so far, 2 more pending) out of only about 8 targeted mailings.

Updated for accuracy - Received 2 more callbacks this week (so 3 "OCI" callbacks total) + 1 through resume drop after short phone call (midlaw) + 1 telephone interview pending through OCI #1 bidding (they got my resume and are scheduling a phone interview).

I know for sure:

Sullcrom
DPW
MoFo

Paul Weiss
Gibson Dunn
Simpson Thacher.

Does anyone know what the turnaround time was for DPW from callback to offer?
