Last year Schulte asked 25% of their interviewees back for CB. Maybe I just happen to hang out with people that fit the Schulte profile perfectly, or maybe they are asking more people back.
I also know 7 people who interviewed and got CBs within a day... unless we know the same 7 people, this isn't too promising re. offers.

By that, do you mean just VE TX or VE DC as well?

Has Simpson Thacher made many calls yet? I saw one reference to them calling on Friday in this thread, but I haven't heard much about people getting callbacks from them otherwise (even among friends with callbacks from Cleary, DPW, Debevoise and other similarly selective firms).

Can any people at just below median attest to how well they are faring. I'm at Chicago and just below median, and am focusing on V40-V100 firms. Any thoughts? Is it a bloodbath like 2009?

There's some discussion on this topic in earlier pages. Some have been doing pretty well with getting callbacks but in my experience it's been really hard. Some interviewers have basically shut down after they glanced at my transcript even though OCS had been every reassuring. So it's quite a bit if work to attempt to be engaging and bring the conversation back to myself after the interviewer jumping to asking if I have any questions about the firm.

If you don't mind sharing, about how far below median would you guess you are, what types of firms did you look at, and how many callbacks have you received?

Paul Weiss is making call backs, I got one this morning.

For those with Weil callbacks - I got one last night, and I think they said that they'd have someone contact me today about a date/time, but I can't remember. We're they going to contact us, or were we supposed to contact them?
