Now that snail mail dings are trickling in, what do you make of firms that made dings and callbacks to other people but has not gotten back to you? The mythical "HOLD" pile???? Isn't it about time they act on it?

Re: Columbia EIP 2010 Callbacks Thread
i don't think there is a mythical hold pile. some firms will never get back to you because they are rude a-holes, and some will but it will take forever because the interviewer is traveling or on a big deal or whatever

No. They don't need you until people start canceling callbacks and turning down offers.
I do think that there are holds. Traveling and work don't explain not getting back for two weeks, at least in the cases where others have gotten callbacks and the rejections have come from recruiting, not from the interviewer.
