The vault rankings are absolute shit. They are filled out by associates, overwhelmingly in New York, who know jack about firms. It may be good for distinguishing between large New York firms, but for anything that doesn't fit that mold it is grossly inaccurate. It's ridiculous that Williams and Connolly was not ranked in the top 10 until this year, or that Munger and Irell are not in the top 25.ruski wrote:Anyone get a callback from Kramer Levin? if so, what are your stats?

Vault habitually underranks (1) firms not based in New York and (2) smaller firms, especially shops that are primarily litigation. I say this as someone applying primarily to large New York firms.

It looks from the other threads that Proskauer sends email dings. Can anyone confirm?

They're known for really valuing personality, at least at the screening -> callback stage. A 3L friend of mine got a callback with them last year. I'm not sure what his grades were exactly, but definitely median or below. Good-to-great personality, though.ruski wrote:Anyone get a callback from Kramer Levin? if so, what are your stats?

It sounds like everything is done. Time to wait for the rest of the dings to trickle in. I've heard of nothing coming in today from anywhere...

I think people are still waiting on Dewey (only one interviewer has made CBs), Cadwalader (no reports of CBs) and Willkie (only on-the-spot CBs given so far).Anonymous User wrote:It sounds like everything is done. I can't believe a person of average or higher intelligence would think a v90 is a "shit firm." All 100 of Vault-ranked firms and 250 of AmLaw firms are establishments that make hundreds of millions of dollars, servicing major banks and companies. Plus the the way that rankings are done is just as controversial as any other rankings go, so spew out your self-entitled comments somewhere else.ruski wrote:just from everything ive read about them and what attorneys have said about them, they dont seem like a v90 firm. more like a v50.

Looking at the OCS charts, there are a number of firms that made no CBs last year. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same this year as well.Anonymous User wrote:I think people are still waiting on Dewey (only one interviewer has made CBs), Cadwalader (no reports of CBs) and Willkie (only on-the-spot CBs given so far).Anonymous User wrote:It sounds like everything is done. NYC may be done, but I don't think other markets are (West Coast, DC, etc.). I don't think Winston or Jones Day have made CBs yet for DC- though someone correct me if I'm wrong. I also don't think Irell has called yet.

I got a Willkie call, not an on-the-spot callback offer. Yesterday.
