LLP or LLC in name?
When writing a cover letter, do you repeatedly write LLP or LLC in the firm's name throughout, or do you leave that out? If you write it in, do you include a comma between the LLP/LLC and the firm name? This is kind of a dumb question, but I'm unsure and can't find any info. Thanks.

I refer to the firm by its full name the first time that i mention it in the body, e.g. Smith, Jones, Doe & Green LLC. After that, i will use whatever the firm calls itself in its website/promo materials.
ETA: as for comma placement, I just do it how the firm does.

The LLP/LLC part is not needed when using the firm name in a sentence.

Re: LLP or LLC in name?
Thanks - another quick Cl question: Which of the following is a correct format for the beginning of a cover letter?
[Contact name]
[Name of organization]
[Street Address]
[City, State, Zip]
or
[Contact name]
[Title]
[Name of organization]
[Street Address]
[City, State, Zip]
The Guerilla Guide suggests the first option, but I've seen the second suggested by several law schools. Which is correct, or does it not matter? Think it'd be ok to do [Contact Name, Title] on the first line, to save space?
