Having interned with a judge, I can tell you that clerking appears to be one of the best experiences you can possibly have. If you are just dollars and cents, it probably doesn't appeal to you... but if you are trying to develop your skills as a lawyer it's a really good option.BunkMoreland wrote:what is the appeal of clerkships if you already have a BIGLAW offer?
It's a prereq for academe, for one. Also, in a prestige-obsessed profession, you can't do much better. Third, there's usually a bonus involved.
