About 140 accepted offers at YLS OCI last year. That leaves about 50 unaccounted for. Among those 50 may very well lie the aspiring professors, public interest types, incompetent interviewers/social pariahs, world travelers, capital hill groupies, those with straight Ps, etc

Kurama (see: Hiei) is back so the 0L know-it-all quota should be filled.

Why would we want the snark of a curiously gendered know-it-all who finished well below median as a 1L at Michigan after (supposedly  ) turning down Stanford and maintaining a bitchy attitude, back on TLS?
i guess we know which of the mvp you're at now

also, emmy transferred to nyu (and has done quite well from what i understand), so i hardly think below-median at michigan is an accurate assessment

I feel like I know who emmyd is...and things aren't adding up. Isn't emmyd supposed to be a hot transgendered chick? Well, whatever.

LOL at RVP callimg anyone a know it all--he was calling people "OL's" during his first year orientation at UVA last year!

By the way you have posted several comments about UVA that directly contrast with what I've been told by 2 and 3L's at UVA in real life--this often times makes me question if you really know as much as you think you do.

0Ls not OLs, dude.

How you're not still banned IDK.

Still no proof forthcoming that you actually have spoken to any 2Ls or 3Ls at UVA.

Oh that's right you are the expert on the subject! LOL at "proof" that someone has spoken with 2L's and 3L's at UVA with them having been accepted to the school and having been to ASW as well as having kept in contact with many of them. I guess you need online "proof" lol you're ridiculous.

I wouldn't waste your breath, this RVP guy will ask you to "prove" if you are actually a male if it is something he doesn't like or agree with.

The '70-75 percent of our students got jobs from OCI' meme has been assiduously circulated by the OCS at both Chi and CLS. Just sayin'.
I believe 67.5% of our students who did EIP got at least one offer.
I thought one of your classmates posted a higher number here on TLS. Perhaps I'm mistaken. At any rate, your knowledge is superior to mine.

Someone posted that Chi's numbers hovered around 79 percent. While it's possible that we had some advantage due to being twice as small as our peers, I find that number ridiculously inflated. 2/3 is the far likelier figure.

You could just PM me a name - I've given you that option and I'd stop doubting your claims if you did that. If it doesn't mean that much to you, fine. But until then I will remain in doubt.

Even if you could prove that any substantive conversations actually took place (WTF kind of ASW attendee goes asking 2Ls and 3Ls specific placement-based questions? XOXO would rightly label you an aspie), I don't see how your sporadic conversations and musings with some students at UVA would trump someone's actual attendance of the school for a year, having many friendships and conversations with 3Ls on the subject, dealing with the office of career services, and obsessing over data from OGI.

I will not post Emmy's class rank (though I think she may have shared at some point) but 1) no, she wasn't below median and 2) yes, she transferred to NYU.

Btw, referring to her as curiously gendered = douchetastic.

She fostered an intimidating, almost unbelievable, internet personality and there were some legitimate doubts as to whether the real person behind the online persona was indeed transgendered. I'd say that's curious, indeed.

And also perfectly unrelated to this discussion and therefore unnecessary - i.e. douchetastic - to bring up.

um... maybe because transgendered people have legitimate doubts about gender? and why does this matter at all?

Doyle brought Emmy up while Kurama was posting in this thread. I thought there was a little bit of a parallel there, and I compared Kurama's schtick to Emmy's. Apparently that didn't fly and no one else noticed it - so be it. I'm sorry if I said anything that's genuinely insensitive toward transgendered people in general.

If she was a bitch, the fact that she is transgendered shouldn't be used as any sort of defense.

Let's get back on topic. Just how big of a bitch was emmyd?

Before she was ever banned? Huge. After she came back? Actually a pretty legit poster and contributor, for a short period.

Banning has not had the same effect on Kurama, apparently.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
