Will Pub. Intox. charge continue to haunt me?

Currently interning at big city DA (think NYC/LA/CHI). During processing I disclosed that I had indeed been arrested for PI. It happened 5 years ago in college, and there hasn't been an incident since (nor any others prior).

Now, clearly, I'm already hired for the summer, but I'm concerned about permanent employment. My brain says that this is no big deal, it happened five years ago, and no reasonable person would give it more than a cursory glance. My panicked side says that they'll never consider me for permanent employment because of this.

Thoughts?

I can't imagine it hurting you. I'd imagine 90% of the people on this board are guilty of public intox, but most of us don't due to sheer luck (I should have about 5... throwing up on the sidewalk right in front of a cop on my 21st FTW!) It was 5 years ago and it can easily be written off by saying you were immature and stupid. Your work product should speak for itself.

I think 1) you were smart to disclose it - they would have found out anyway, and it shows your honesty, and 2) you're probably fine.
