I'm definitely not in the best position to comment on the scope of these pending cases, but they all seem like isolated/temporary incidents that would produce localized and temporary relief to the market for legal services, rather than a sea change.

I don't see how we are going to improve the job situation when there are HUGE number of lawyers with good credentials who are currently unemployed AND an EVER-INCREASING number of law grads entering the market each year... that is to say, each year there are MORE law school grads than the previous.

Throw in the fact that U.S. firms have begun outsourcing legal work to India and I think we are in for a rough employment situation for some time....

yeah i agree with this...I think what we are seeing with legal hiring is going to be a pretty long term trend.
