No. Awful. Especially if it's the exact same design as the tie.

From my non-lawyer insurance ivory tower, my vote is definitely not

I had a guy come in who hung his sunglasses out of his suit jacket though, that would be worse

Yes, but only if you take it out and blow a soppy ball of snot into it mid-interview.

Yes, but only if its a simple white "Don Draper" style pocket square, only about a 1/2 inch showing. Nothing flashy, just classy, especially with a darker gray/charcoal suit. Make sure its crisp and angular, it is a pocket SQUARE after all.

I'd say no, unless you are at least 35 years old.

Yes, it is essential. But do not use same color as your tie. White folded like the Mad Men picture above would be fine.

Sure, if you're applying for a job on the set of Mad Men.

It's hard for me to believe that anyone who voted yes has ever held a real job.

Hell no. Be conservative and look good with the minimal possible amount of accessories. You can still be stylish with nice clothes, but this is an interview where you want to be evaluated on your achievements, not your pocket square.

When you're in an industry where you think twice before wearing a non-white shirt to an interview, then pocket squares are not so conservative.

I'm a big fan of pocket squares, but DON'T wear it for an interview.

This is the reason you should NOT wear a pocket square. Everyone will think you are trying to BE Don Draper.

Absolutely NO upside in wearing a pocket square. Nuff said.

This isn't a fashion show. Do not wear a pocket square to a job interview.

Ask yourself this: Can it help? Answer: No Can it hurt? Answer: Yes

I think certain guys can pull it off very well. Don Draper or Jay Wright, the head basketball coach of Villanova.

But, if you're asking other people what they think about it you're probably not one of those guys. In which case you will end up looking like a tool. FWIW I'm the opposite of one of those guys.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
