Hi, all,
I'm a 1L. I have 2 offers currently on the table; one from FDNY Legal Bureau and one from one of the 'other 4' DA's offices (i.e., not Manhattan). I think both of these are interesting and I just want to take the internship that can help me the most at OCI next year. I want to work biglaw and my grades are median.
I am really torn as which to take. Any help would be much appreciated.
Which position should I take? (NY)

Thanks for answering the poll. I was wondering if anyone would please be willing to write why they voted the way they did.

DA is a good generic summer job to get as much legal experience as a job will give you. sometimes summers get a lot of responsibilities in misdemeanors or something. (if you ask to work in something high profile, you prob research or something since they don't want a summer screwing stuff up). good for everything later except PD...
i have no idea about fdny. i imagine they might not have an equivalent to "misdemeanors" where they let students take on real responsibilities. but who knows

not funny.
Who's kidding? Tthey're a bunch of overgrown children who use fear to extort ever-increasing salaries out of the citizenry for ever-decreasing workloads. On top of that, they pretend that there's some sort of highly technical science to putting wet on hot.
