Becoming a Marine is, and forever shall be, both the single greatest achievement in my life and the single most important experience in my life.

Every young person should, at some point, serve in an organization that, in turn, serves his fellow citizens and which teaches teamwork and personal sacrifice for the good of the many.

Every young person should seek out challenges and adventure because, when you turn 35 and your body begins to slow down and you have a mortgage and a career and a wife, the time for adventure will be over. Use your 20s well.

Every young person should test their physical, mental and moral mettle. They should experience what real stress and real fear are like and learn how to handle it.

Every man should be able to look back on his life and be able to point to a period where he was a head badass, leading badass dudes doing badass shit.

Become a Marine. You won't regret it.

Good luck. Semper Fi.
