how much does family alumni help in admission process?
Hey everyone, first post, and forgive me if this seems a bit obnoxious, but I was wondering peoples thought on the weight of alumni on law school admissions? My grandfathers both went to tier 1 schools, although they graduated in the 30s and 40s...will this help me whatsoever? Thanks in advance

MY best guess: Not at all. I do know that some schools did ask me about alumnus when I was applying during undergrad, but if you just have run-of-the-mill alumni grandparents, then likely no boost at all.

I doubt it will make any difference

It probably matters very little, if at all. Law school admissions are much more difficult than undergrad. LSAT/GPA will probably account for 90% of your admissions.
