for those of you that couldnt make it to the housing forum...IMHO you didnt miss much. it was a lot about how to use craigslist and other online resourse to find an apt, which neighborhoods are closest to campus, and why you SHOULDN'T bring a car. what was helpful was the reception after that had some fauculty 2L and 3L students to answer any questions. the most suprising thing i heard was from a 3L who told me her first year she had a nice apt in pinole (east bay) and during the year she gave it up because people talked her into moving to the city to be closer to campus. she said that was the biggest mistake. she said she paid more for less space and she should have stayed where she was. the commute wasnt too bad and she just use her time to read. moral of the story is, if anyone is commuting and worring about the time its going to take, or stressing out about finding a place near campus, don't. you dont have to be right next to campus to be happy with your living situation.

Were there a lot of people there? Did they talk about anything else interesting?

um, well id say there were about 30 future 1L's there. Guerrero was there, he talked about financial aid and that if you are taking out the full amount of aid you are basically allotted $1,000 for rent so not to go over that when looking for housing. also, the basics, about aid like, if you are not going to use to full amount to contact the financial aid office and lower the amount you take out so that you are not paying interest on money you don't need.

Future 1L here..just got my section assignment. If you have any old exams/outlines from Davis, Leo or Travis I would greatly appreciate it!

Does USF have a database where law student can access such information?

PM me if you can help me out.
