Questionnn: do most people drive to campus every day? I'm living at Radnor and I want to know if it's reasonable to walk or bike when the weather is nice.

Is parking free for law students?

Hey kids did you see this:

http://abajournal.com/news/villanova_la ... ion_probe/

Hilarious! I still cannot believe you guys are actually going thru with this. You are going to pay money to attend an also-ran diploma mill operated by a goofy shyster who pisses away tuition money on cheap craigslist hookers!

Instead of “gunning” early and reading useless drivel like “Getting to Maybe” and the E & E primers, you should be reading jdu, above the law, the ABA Journal, and this new website:

--LinkRemoved--

Abysmal does not begin to describe the state of this industry. And BTW reading early and wasting time and money on LEEWS and other garbage will not help. You have no idea the “wild card” nature of law school grades. For example, my first-year property prof. gave an exam that was a photocopied Sunday NY Times article on software piracy and asked us to write an op-ed piece “touching on legal issues” etc. It was beyond absurd. Naturally, she graded very tough and most of the scholly kids were in her section. Voila! They lost the $$$ and continued the next 5 semester at full price, all to get out and land a Traffic Court Clerkship for 35 K! You see, at schools like Villa No Job, there is NO margin for error. One B- and biglaw ain’t gonna come calling, and you’ll be scrounging craigslist for ambulance chasing “firms” paying well south of 40 K.

As your ex-dean abundantly proves, law school admins are shiftless, lowlife scum with the morals of a maggot and the brains of Corky the retard. Instead of GETTING blowjobs, he should be out there fellating every shitlaw partner in the Philly area trying to get them to hire you guys for 40 K!

BTW, here’s a great new guest post of mine on Tom the Temp, another great website you should become acquainted with asap:

http://temporaryattorney.blogspot.com/

Right now a good friend of mine from ‘Nova 2005 is project manager on a Philly doc review (at Dechert) making the whopping sum of $24 an hour with no health benefits. He was on journal and got good grades. I’ll get him on here to answer your questions about ‘Nova, but you probably aren’t going to like the answers much.

Here’s another article that is on your summer “required reading” list as compiled by Professor Skadden Farts:

http://abajournal.com/news/salary_gap_w ... law_grads/

Make sure you read each and every comment to that story. Keep in mind that the people writing those comments were in your shoes just a few short years ago, and now look at the disasters that their lives have become thanks to worthless TTT diploma mills like Villa No Job. Here's one of the best comments:

Small firms are setting new floors because they are aware of the struggling job market for new grads. I had a friend who was offered a job for $32,000 per year with a 2200 hour billable hour rate. That is a higher rate than most law firms. I also had another friend who worked for a small insurance defense firm for $29,000 per year where she had to bill a minimum of 9 hours a day. Anytime she needed to take time off, the firm would cancel all of her benefits so that they wouldn’t pay for her benefits if she wasn’t working. Why would anyone take that type of job, you may ask? Well, when the job market is what it is, and people have over $100K in student loans to pay back, you have to take what you can get. Sucks.

As much as you don’t want to hear it, those comments distill the awful truth about this comical gutter of an industry. Turn off the Law & Order re-runs, lemmings. All the DA and public defender gigs go to top grads from top schools. Now the deferred Biglaw Ivy-Leaguers are gobbling up the few scraps of work that once fed the TTT losers. It’s over.

Civ pro is reallyyy going to kill me every day until 4:30! Yikes.

We have the same Civ Pro, Crim Law, and Torts classes. I'm NOT looking forward to Fridays at all!
I think we do have to pay for parking though. There was a link on Novasis about paying for a parking permit.
What floor of Radnor are you going to be on?

Hey,
So do you guys know, or maybe someone from previous years, how quickly villanova returns the refund money. They said it is processed 10 days before classes start. But does anyone know from past experience when we will actually be receiving it in our accounts.

Thanks

I just registered for parking the other day because I'm commuting so I know I'll need a parking pass. It's $100 for the year for us to park in the law school parking garage. Which is about $400 cheaper than it was to park at my UG, so I'm pretty happy with it.
