I don't recall what content was on there previously. Although one of the links is "Schedules and curricular info", maybe they just condensed it.
It was the pdf's for summer reading and i think that quiz you guys were talking about a few days ago.

For as many times as I have been unable to find that and you have given it to me, you must think I am mentally disabled at this point.

Well, I'm committed to going to UF, but it may not be this year. What with the requirements for in-state residency changing, I was very worried about the cost (ie, never getting in-state even though I've been here 11 months before the first day of classes). At any rate, I talked to one of the deans on the phone and she was very helpful--they'll see what they can do for this year, but if not I'll just defer until 2010.

So I'll be with ya'll...just maybe not this year.

I am beginning to feel like we are the only TLSers going to UF lol

I still have yet to sign a lease. The bench in the courtyard is looking more and more to be my future residence.

Edit: Wait, confusion. I am under the assumption you are the person who posted on the UF Law Facebook group saying you were not living there anymore

Super confusion. Long story short it was really on again off again. First there were three of us, then one back out and we needed to find a new roommate, then the place was too expensive, then we couldn't all agree..blah blah.

Well as it turns out everything did work out, and I will be living in that house, though I don't think there is yet a third roommate. Kind of a headache but it worked out great because that is where I wanted to live.

Also " I am under the assumption you are the person who posted on the UF Law Facebook" ... and you didn't friend me?!?!

I am thinking of moving in on the 7th because a) I have never been to Gainesville and want time to explore and b) I want to have time to get settled so that I don't have to deal with annoying errands, deliveries etc during orientation

My unsolicited advice is not to stay at Wildflower. Technically they are like 100 yards from campus. However, it's like 15mins minimum to the law school, which is on the total opposite side. That is if I am thinking of the place off of archer and 13th. They are are also overpriced.

Phlash...have you heard of Cazabella? If so, would it be a good place for a law student to live (ie not crazy partying undergrads)

Cazabella is one of the closet apartment complexes to the law school and a lot of law students live there. There are also some other professional students and random adults that live in gainesville. It is a quiet complex that doesnt normally have any undergrads. (I went to UF undergrad)

I almost lived there but I am living in The Bartram which is on archer and moving up Aug 1st.

Well its like 2 miles from the law school, so its really not that bad. I drove it a couple of times and it took 7-9 minutes. Plus I didn't want to stay in the crappy houses right near the law school. As for the price, yes its very expensive but I am paying significantly less due to a wealthy roommate. Its definitely not the cheapest or closest, but is very nice inside, is within reasonable distance and has a nice workout room ( which im sure ill be using since the main one is supposed to be packed constantly).

Lets hope we aren't in section 3. Speaking of, does anyone know how UF assigns sections? Is it alphabetical, LSAT distribution, totally random? Has anyone heard of the scholarship students being stacked in one section (apparently some schools do that)?

First Day Assignments are starting to go up.
Torts doesn't look to be happy fun time for Section 3.
Professor: Little / Fall 2009 - Torts § 3 / Law 5700 - Section 4598

3. The course is scheduled to meet Monday through Thursday. You must be prepared to meet on Fridays at 9:00 am throughout the term. The course will include exactly 56 class sessions. When a class meets on Friday, a class will not meet on some other day. We will meet Dec. 1.

HOW THINGS ARE DONE

1. Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance is required. No student who has more than 6 absences shall be eligible to take the final examination. No student who has a combined total of more than 9 absences and tardies shall be eligible to take the final examination. A student is tardy if not seated in the assigned seat at the time the student’s name is called. EACH STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE TO ASSURE THAT A TARDY IS NOT RECORDED AS AN ABSENCE. EACH STUDENT IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE TO KEEP ACCOUNT OF THE ATTENDANCE RECORD AND IS NOT ENTITLED TO ANY NOTICE OR WARNING THAT LIMITS ARE ABOUT TO BE EXCEEDED.

2. Decorum: No eating, smoking or drinking is permitted in the classroom during class. Any student who breaches this standard will be directed to refrain and to remove offending substances from the classroom. Students are to be clean and modestly attired and SHALL NOT WEAR HATS DURING CLASS. Abidance by these standards is a condition of satisfactory completion of the course.

3. Keep your seat: Once you are seated and the class has begun, KEEP your seat until the class ends. If you have a special requirement to arise during the class, either permanently or temporarily, make seating arrangements with the professor in advance.

4. Laptops: YOU MAY NOT USE LAPTOP COMPUTERS IN THIS CLASS. Turn them off and put away before class begins.

5. TURN OFF CELL PHONES, IPODs, PAGES AND ALL OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES BEFORE ENTERING CLASS ROOM.

No laptops ... .... wat?
Perhaps section 3 takes place on an airplane...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
