Nah, Cake, even death would not have been sufficient. Not unlike you and Georgetown!let/them/eat/cake wrote:it was probably an OS alterego, starting the thread because she knew only death would keep her out of said institution.
New summer job started well, mostly training. Its 3 interns, the other 2 are a 1L and 2L. They also have a summer associateship for 2LsOperaSoprano wrote:Nah, Cake, even death would not have been sufficient. Promising a higher score is a double edged sword, though. I had also planned to retake, and I felt guilty for calling it off after my acceptance. This is part of the reason I went to see Dean Brown. I asked him point blank whether to go forward with my retake, and he said it was unnecessary. If he had wanted me to, even with no financial benefit to myself (merit based aid was exhausted) I would have done so. It was the studying that kept me sane all those months. I confessed my regrets about canceling to Mallard, but even a score like his would not have altered my plans. I am very happy to be a matriculated Fordham student. I could not have gone through all that uncertainty again; not for anything.
Congrats to everyone who paid their second seat deposit today!
BTW, Geo, are you at your new summer job? How is it?
That sounds pretty awesome! You are seriously getting a leg up on the competition. Would you want to return to the firm as an SA?geoanthem wrote:New summer job started well, mostly training. In a 2006 interview, Treanor reported instituting free cupcakes and ice cream to alleviate the intensity of law school finals. Gifts to students, though, are in the offing: At the end of the 2006 academic year, Treanor worked for the purveyance of free flip-flops with Fordham's imprint on the bottom. "I feel obliged to make the Fordham experience for our students as special as possible," said Treanor.
I did tell you about the cake I got in the admissions office, right?silenziatori wrote:Interesting. From Dean Treanor's Wikipedia entry:
