Dude, how did you get this already? I don't have mine. And where did you find the classes associated with your section assignment?

and class times?

They're up on the Students portion of the UC Law website. Go to the thing that says "Bigelow." This is probably what you're looking for, though:

I am in section F. As far as class times, I think people are taking the info from the section assignments (which lists which profs you have, and applying it to the autumn course schedule).

Section F lucks out. By my look, we only have two books to get.

I just bought the books for my classes that had them listed (Samaha & Posner) on Amazon. After applying my Amazon certificate I got from cashing in major heaps of change right before I moved, only spent $145, including expedited shipping. I hope we don't need to buy any other books. I feel like I'm making out like a bandit on this one.

Hey RussianGirl, I'm in your section. :D I also see the conflict between LRW and Elements. But I think our Civil Procedure class is later than you noted. My guess is our LRW is meant to be on Monday or Wednesday... Hopefully not on Friday. One class on Friday is pretty sweet.

Monday
Contracts -- Ben-Shahar -- 8:30 -- 9:35
Civil Procedure -- Buss -- 11:00 -- 12:05
Criminal Law -- McAdams-- 1:30 -- 2:35

Tuesday
Elements -- Strauss -- 9:35 -- 10:50
??? LRW at 9:35 ???
Civil Procedure -- Buss -- 11:00 -- 12:05
Criminal Law -- McAdams-- 2:10 -- 3:50

Wednesday
Contracts -- Ben-Shahar -- 8:30 -- 9:35
Criminal Law -- McAdams-- 1:30 -- 2:35

Thursday
Contracts -- Ben-Shahar -- 8:30 -- 9:35
Elements -- Strauss -- 9:35 -- 10:50
Civil Procedure-- Buss -- 11:00 -- 12:05

Friday
Elements -- Strauss -- 9:35 -- 10:50

Ooooohhhh, sweet!
Noted & fixed, thanks... LRW is weird. I don't think we can have it on Friday (at least not at that time) cause we have Elements then, right?

I sent an email to Lisa Alvarez about the conflict. I'll let you know if I hear back. I sure hope it isn't just a different time on Friday. I like our abbreviated schedule.

Awesome, thanks! Agreed... and we even get an extra half an hour of sleep on Fridays (much appreciated after Thursday bar review). Unless, of course, they give us LRW on Friday mornings by some freak asshole accident, so hopefully that doesn't happen *knocks on wood*

I came up with a list of 9.

ISBN #s: 9781599412559, 188887046X, 9780735557949, 9780314176172, 9780314184023, 9780314191441, 9780735570337, 9780735563179, and 9781416535157

Taken from the booklist at http://www.law.uchicago.edu/students/registrar/booklist

I'm glad you asked as I'd apparently only ordered 8 of the 9. Bummer that the one I left off was an expensive one, too.

I don't know if you're purposely leaving this out, but we have to get four books for LRW (Rowell) too. So, that's six total.

Oh, man, I left out LRW, too. So add 5 more to Section A.

ISBN #s: 1599410028, 1587785415, 600014329X, 020530902X, 0226899152

I think.

ARG I forgot about LRW too. At least I managed to take my coffee stained and well worn bluebook 18th ed. from my firm before leaving. So the add'l books only added $44 to my total. SWEET.

You guys have such interesting schedules...

Up here at NU our schedules look something like:

M-T-W: Civ Pro, Torts, Contracts

Th-Fri: Crim, CLR (our equivalent of legal research / writing)

Your schedules seem much more jumbly that ours....

Questions for 2L/3Ls or 1Ls more aware than myself:

We don't have books for Elements? How does that work?
I have the 5th edition of the Glannon Civ Pro E&Es. Buss requires the 6th. Should I get it or is the 5th cool?

Just noticed one more class we missed on the Section A schedule.

Seems we have LRW on Thursdays from 1:30 - 2:35. Still waiting to hear back about our other LRW session.

And I think everyone in Section A got the email - Tuesday's LRW is now 2:45 - 3:50.
