Good luck guys! Hope you enjoy freezing your keisters off!
There were a number of people that had money at Duke, but not Cornell. I think they were able to successfully leverage. Seeing as you haven't technically withdrawn from Cornell, I suppose you can try to do this with Duke still.

Going to send in my deposit today! For those who have sent in their deposits already, did you direct your letter to anyone's attention and to a particular room at Myron Taylor Hall?

Thanks - looking forward to meeting you all in August!

I did. The response is in the mail. Problem is, I actually got more money at Duke, so I am relying more on my family situation and flat out begging to get more money.

Count me in. Found a great 1 bedroom place, too! Gonna call and convince the landlord to rent it to me. Excited for Fall! :)

I just got confirmation that they recieved my deposit. I see everyone is already looking for places to live. I didn't get a chance to go to any of the admitted students weekends can anyone offer up something of interest that I can't get from the website.

And congrats to all of you.

sending my deposit for a one-bedroom on Eddy St. tomorrow!!
oh..and for those of you who are attending for sure, but don't have a place set yet..i recommend you hurry..
between yesterday and today, 3 different places i was considering got snatched up..and only one or two were left that were reasonably priced, and relatively close to the law school...

a friend of mine at cornell now said that, usually by may, all the affordable housing is gone.. eek..

Columbia came a-callin'. I'm very sad because I LOVED Cornell. But, going to Columbia will allow me to stay in the same place I live now. More importantly, it will allow me to retain custody of my daughter. The ex was gonna try to make my life hell if we moved.

Sweet, I signed a lease recently right in the same area... 400 something Stewart I believe... Maybe we're even in the same building...
