I sent in all my stuff but havent heard anything.
During the ASD, they said that you will be notified that your application is complete by getting your offer. I got mine so early only because I stopped by the office; otherwise, it would have been mailed to me. They are fairly quick at making offers, about a 1-2 week turnaround.
Does the financial aid offer specifially show what is merit based and what is need based?
No. They do not break it down by merit/need.

yes, the class was really interesting. plus, you aren't creepy irl.

in all seriousness, the small, dynamic student body and career services are what most admitted students raved most about. also, most were pleasantly surprised by ithaca. after living in boston and la for the last 11 years, i am honestly looking forward to living in ithaca, and i don't think that i am going to miss much during the 3 years; ok, maybe i'll change my tune during 3L.

although this somewhat counter to what i said above, some fog has stranded another two potential (likely?) students and me. fog? what's up with that? in any event, it provided a good bonding experience through ithaca's high-quality thai food and beers. and this is to say nothing of ithaca's super 8 motel.

I'm in, and my 5 yo is flying the carnelian red! Got back from [other school] ASW and had a few days of conflict, but who'm I kidding--it's all about Cornell, has been really since the visit.

I'm so psyched to bring my family out and show them around the town and the campus, get serious about a house, explore the countryside, and meet all y'all :)

Does 2012 have a Facebook group?

Ellis is insisting that I wash the shirt tonight, so he can wear it to school again tomorrow. He's going to love Ithaca, and he'll be walking me to my first day of classes :D

It's exciting to see more commits!

Ps: if anyone needs an excuse to celebrate, I passed my PhD defense today. Be sure to raise a glass for a future classmate.

Thrilled to be in the class of 2012! Sending in my deposit on Monday. It was great to see so many future classmates at last weeks ASW. Seems like it should be a great group.

90% sure.

The logical side of my brain is slowly losing to the emotional(/intuitive?) side: I referred to CLS today as "we..."

I'm going to call my holdouts tomorrow and find out what's up.

Is the logical side FOR Cornell, or against it?

Against. It keeps telling me to wait until the last minute to see what penn and chicago tell me :(

I'm already guessing that I'll get wait-listed at best. but still, why send in a deposit any earlier than I have to.
