no I meant acceptance email--I haven't received it yet. I know the materials are supposed to come in the new year, but an email before then. :D

Supposedly I'm supposed to receive an email with a bunch of digital information (the actual material won't arrive until after the new year) but when I receive the email I'll let you know what it says as far as dates for asw.

One of my classmates just got the call today around 5:00... I'm soo jealous! She was well below the expected LSAT numbers for Yale, but 3.97... There is hope.

I'm in! My stats are not good for Yale (173, 3.92), so it had to be the softs (3 years in legal services, 10 years queer activism on a national level, a few publications/presentations at conferences). I wrote my 250 about the similarities between my trapeze training and an oral history project I did for fun after graduation. My personal statement was about what it felt like to end up doing criminal defense work when I had intended to go into civil law practice.
I got the voicemail during trapeze class, about 7pm tonight.

Congrats LAS! your softs and numbers are very YLS! :lol: I can't believe I might be classmates with someone who is as accomplished as you are.

I sent in my applications early october, and went complete end of october.

I got in last night. I was in total disbelief the entire phone call. I still am. My numbers are slightly below the medians for Yale, which goes to show that they are committed to looking at the complete application.

I don't think I will fully believe it until I actually get the email. :shock:
