Why was your ham sandwich in the oven to begin with?

I was trying to pull a Quizno's. Ended up with a fireball.

I'd kill for a sub right now. But I'm too lazy... subway delivers, but only to the outside gate of campus.

yeah. it was on some tin foil that I usually toast garlic bread on...but maybe there was some kind of oil from the ham that came off. the sandwich itself wasn't on fire..just the rest of the pan

Filled out FAFSA, NeedAccess, amended both, filled out the Questionnaire, filled out NeedAccess for my fiance and sent to CLS, sent in my parents' tax forms, sent in my tax forms, sent in my fiance's tax forms.

Now I just need to send them a copy of my shiny Chicago scholly letter and see what happens...

3.9+ ED to Columbia

Post by jacko » Wed Feb 25, 2009 2:00 am

I just got the bright idea to ask this to posters that have actually been accepted to Columbia. My question is this; at what point is it a good idea to apply ED to a school like Columbia? I have a 3.9+ and will take the LSAT in June. I'm wondering if I get 170 maybe apply ED, 172 or 173 maybe apply regular decision to others in the top 10? Other factors might be that I go to a relatively unknown school and am not really sure about my career goals so I would love to go to an overall high quality school that will assist me in whatever career path I choose.

YES! I spent two hours on NeedAccess - oh, the irony of paying $30 to apply for need-based financial aid

Yeah - the forms are a pain the ass, even though my parents got stuck doing the brunt of the work. :o

Just a reminder.. NeedAccess, FAFSA, the Questionnaire and your tax returns are all due by March 1st.

Hey! I'm new to this forum, so I don't know if this has been talked about before - but anyone going to the open house next week? Suggestions on classes that might be cool to sit in on?

I'm from Long Island, so unfortunately it's not expensive to bring my parents. I'm hoping at least one other person is bringing his/her parents so I'm not embarrassed.

I didn't get the "assigned case reading" yet. What is it?

Yep, I am! I had to e-mail a bunch of them though to find out who has space available.

Haha. ug. Mine are insistent. If you see some embarrassed girl trailing five feet behind two very excited middle aged people, you'll know it's me.

LOL.

Comeon, cut them some slack their daughter just got into one of the best law schools in the world! Give them a chance to be happy!

(My parents won't be attending, as the flights are too expensive, but truthfully I wouldn't mind if they came....)
(I'll be there for the second one so unfortunately I will be missing "the embarrassed girl trailing behind two very excited middle aged people" ;-) )

Well, it's supposed to snow a lot and I might not be able to drive home, so you might be in luck if I have to attend the second ASW. Although, by that point I might find a way to finagle myself out of this potentially embarrassing situation.

I just found out I can't drive home because of all the snow. Embarrassment averted.
