Anyone hear about the shooting on 125th St? It's an interesting case (reminds me of Bernie Goetz) and I'd bet there will be a lawsuit from at least one of the robbers' families.

Yea, that's a mess... if I had to guess, the store owner will probably get hit with gun charges, and I'd agree that he might face a lawsuit too. Oy... sticky situation.

We are playing a show again at the Cake Shop on Sunday at 8pm. It's a cheap and relaxing way to spend the last evening before we are all officially law students!

In other good news, I'll finally be at my apartment by then. Tomorrow I get my keys and drop off a few bags, but I won't be in the city much until Saturday.

The police are saying that even though the gun wasn't licensed, they're not going to prosecute.

I'm not really sure who's teaching first year Law classes, but some people who've taught it before seemed more appealing.

I'm probably just bumming out over nothing. I think I'm finally getting stressed out over taking classes again

I also got Ted Shaw for CivPro. Don't know the guy, but his bio sounds pretty badass (head of NAACP Legal Defense till last year, argued Gratz and Grutter v. Bollinger).

I got Shaw as well...everyday. I'm not familiar with him off-the-bat either but he appears to be a pretty big deal.

the only other theory i have is that some piece of data is missing from my file (e.g. transcripts - which were sent but for which i received no acknowledgement, etc.).
